The Decepticons’ side of the big upgrading storyline
had wrapped up for the most part so I wanted to start planting the seeds for
the eventual storyline featuring Blackarachnia. I wanted to finish the Maynard/
Upgrade Saga first but it was good to lay down some initial groundwork. This
comic was one that was very easy to write just using the basic
characterizations each character already had. Again, comics like these really
wrote themselves. The pose I got out of Waspinator in the eighth panel (where
Blackarachnia is slapping him) turned out great.
