…And everything was back to normal. I had recently purchased
the Japanese version of Classics Megatron and thought this would be a good way
to explain the color change. Of course why EVERY character didn’t get an
upgrade, including Cannonball, Deathkill, etc, that were standing right there
with the rest of the group was left glaringly open...for now. An explanation
for that is coming down the road (spoiler alert: it’s nothing
earth-shattering).
Maynard was gone for good now so there would be no more
upgrades…yeah, right.
It may seem like Hot Shot’s line in the commentary
panel was a joke about his ‘special’ skills, but in reality he really just
didn’t want an upgrade at that moment.
