I knew from the get-go that I wanted to take an entire comic to introduce Movie Bumblebee. The myriad of reasons Bumblebee’s voicebox was damaged was based on movie, comic and toy biography canons, as well as one pulled out of thin air (obviously) since new and more outrageous reasons seemed to be popping up all the time. Bumblebee’s lines in this comic were fairly easy to come up with though at first I found it more of a pain than actual fun. I have to say I grew to really like thinking of lines from songs I could incorporate into Bumblebee’s line of communication once he was a recurring character in the comic.
