After building Rodimus up as being so different from
his portrayal in Season 3 I decided to bring it all crashing down. Now that
he’d seen how big Unicron was, Rodimus proved he was still the same as he
always was on the inside and all his bravado was just a big show. This wasn’t
some ‘fans revenge’ or some personal vendetta against Rodimus, it was really
just a means to end the storyline. I do like Optimus’ and Rodimus’ turnaround
at the end after Unicron’s threat. Hot Shot’s line in the Peanut Gallery panel
was obviously a setup for what would happen in the next comic.
